The Role
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager who can act as a strong leader and provide guidance to multiple squads of Software Development Engineers. Our Manager will have a passion for building complex web and enterprise applications. As the leader of the squads, you will be creating clear objectives and deliverables with an emphasis on scalability, maintainability, security, and performance. Solera needs a leader that can ensure high-quality applications and on-time delivery of software that supports our growing business. Our innovative leader will work in an Agile environment that mentors and fosters team collaboration.
What You'll Do
1. Lead multiple software development squads focused on maintaining products and meeting service level agreements.
2. Define expectations and develop metrics to monitor results.
3. Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the team.
4. Coach, train and provide regular feedback to the team.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve the team's technical impediments.
6. Suggest improvements to current processes and technologies.
7. Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to manageable & measurable tasks.
What You'll Bring
8. Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
9. Minimum 3 years managing a team of Software Engineers
10. Combined 10 years of experience as a Software Engineer and Lead
11. Prior work experience in and understanding of Agile
12. DevOps tools and workflows such as Jira, Bamboo, Concourse, and equivalents
13. Developing middleware applications using a variety of modern technologies such as Mongo, Redis, Elastic Search, SQL Server, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Rabbit MQ, React JS.
14. Performance engineering and educating teams on non-functional requirements to achieve web-scale
15. A strong background in the SaaS space preferred.
16. Domain-Driven Design and Micro-service architectures.
17. HTTP, AMQP, MQTT and other modern protocols.
18. API (REST, SOAP), Net Core, C#, NoSQL Databases, Middleware, Security, Performance tuning of Applications, Cloud Solutions like Azure
