What you will do
The Lead FP&A Analyst – R&D will support the global Research & Development organization by driving core FP&A processes, delivering strategic insights, and acting as a finance partner to functional R&D leaders. This role plays a critical part in forecasting, analyzing performance, and supporting decision-making across a globally distributed organization. Key responsibilities of the role include shaping and delivering strategy and framing key management presentations.
This position will be based in São Paulo or São José dos Campos.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis
Lead the preparation and consolidation of quarterly forecasts, annual business plans, and updates for R&D sub-functions.
Perform comprehensive Budget vs. Actual (BvA) analyses, identifying key drivers of performance, risks, and opportunities.
Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial reporting across regions and global stakeholders.
Support preparation of materials for senior leadership reviews, including the R&D Leadership Team (RDLT).
Business Partnership and Decision Support
Partner with R&D leaders to provide financial guidance that supports operational and strategic objectives.
Build financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases for investments, ongoing projects, and enterprise transformation efforts.
Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for finance and non‑finance audiences.
Strengthen financial acumen within the R&D organization by proactively educating business partners.
Financial Process Improvement
Drive standardization and optimization of FP&A processes across markets and functions.
Leverage technology, automation, and data visualization to enhance forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency.
Support global finance transformation initiatives and system enhancements.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required with a preference in Finance or Accounting
MBA and/or CPA, CMA are preferred
Solid experience in finance or accounting is required
Advanced/Fluent Skills in English is required; ability to read, understand, verbally exchange information and compose written material for business purposes in English
Prior financial planning and analysis experience is preferred
Excellent analytical (MS Excel) and presentation (PowerPoint), as well as conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment
Ability to work well in a dynamic environment and to recommend and implement operational improvements
Proven track record to partner with a diverse group of stakeholders at all levels of the organization, drive action, resolve conflict, and influence decisions.
Ability to work independently, manage and prioritize multiple business objectives with the appropriate sense of urgency, and balance workload is required
