We are now looking for a
Warehouse Supervisor
to join our team in
Niteroi/RJ, Brasil.
Accountabilities
* On time handling of inbound goods
* On time handling of outbound shipments
* On time handling and accuracy of inventory stock
* On time handling of admin tasks
* Stakeholder management at location of supervision
* Compliant to local Workplace Health, Safety and Environmental regulations
Main Responsibilities:
* Supervise and if required take the lead to coordinate day to day activities as required at location of supervision
* Plan and ensure capacity in warehousing (short term)
* Stakeholder management at the location of supervising, including but not limited to internal and external customers and vendors, Real Estate,
* Inbound activities: Receive, count and stock material.
* Outbound activities: pick, pack and ship items.
* Operate forklifts and hand/power tools safely.
* Loading / unloading trucks.
* Loading / unloading of container
* Handle production orders
* Visual inspection of goods inbound / outbound / returns / claims for damage and discrepancies
* Cycle counting of inventory according to requirements.
* Maintain records in timely order in tools and programs as required by stakeholders.
* Maintain warehouse supplies and tools.
* General housekeeping of warehouse area.
* Supporting in handling local transportation requests.
* Communication with internal stakeholders and transportation companies, both verbally and in written.
* Coach relevant stakeholders
* Initiate problem solving when required
* Admin tasks as required such as documentation and reports required
* S1-handling, 24/7 (on-call duty)
* Train new warehouse associates
* Substituting Manager when required
* Other warehouse duties as needed and requested by line manager
* Caring out duties in a safe way, being able to make risk assessments.
* Serving the customers in an optimal way, providing best services available
Qualifications and skills required:
* BSc in Logistics, Engineering or equivalent).
* Solid experience within Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory Management or Supply chain management
* Forklift certified.
* Safety awareness
* Good knowledge in Leadership
* Good knowledge in Change Management
* Presentation skills
* Good knowledge from ERPs such as SAP and Navision ERP related to warehouse and inventory management
* Good knowledge in Incoterms and Transportation methods
* Excellent skills in Export documentation, customs procedure and dangerous goods handling
* Good knowledge in computer software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
* Basic skills in Transportation insurance claim handling
* Good technical knowledge of Wärtsilä product portfolio
* Good communication, cooperations and teamwork skills in a multicultural and international work environment
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills
* Well organized.
* Detail oriented
* Proactive and making change happen
* Good English skills, verbally and in written
