To support our team, we are hiring a Senior Market Development Lead, Key Accounts (Coordenador de Desenvolvimento de Mercado KA) in Mato Grosso, Brazil. This is a remote position with a preference for candidates who are within the Mato Grosso.

JOB OBJECTIVE

The individual hired for this position will assume ownership of and perform a diverse range of tasks, becoming an essential business partner to our Operations and Commercial teams, helping with product launch efforts and to build market demand in Brazil. This individual will embodies company values and ethical standards while building strong relationships with farms, agronomy leads, and distribution partners. The Senior Market Development Lead will focus on developing and executing commercial plans, delivering technical training programs, supporting sales strategies, and driving demand creation for RhizoSorb® at the grower level.
Among other responsibilities, this position requires the knowledge, skills and ability to understand and execute the following:
Manage in-country market development and product launch efforts for Brazilian distributors ensuring success with Phospholutions’ products from distribution partners to end users
Serve as the primary local representative for Phospholutions in Brazil, embodying company values and ethical standards.
Develop and deliver technical training programs for distribution partners
Execute commercial strategy and meet sales targets as defined by company objectives
Drive demand for RhizoSorb at the grower level through education, trials, and demonstrations to ensure success of early adopters
Oversee trial planning, execution, and liaison activities with local research stations in Brazil, ensuring protocols are followed accurately, results are technically sound, and timely updates are provided to the US team. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions, i.e., heat, humidity, rain, cold, etc. for extended periods of time
Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces
Act as a technical and sales support resource for distribution partners, agronomists, and growers. Build strong relationships with growers and agronomy leads accelerating adoption
Generate annual sales forecasts and implement regional commercial strategies
Represent the company at field day events, trade shows, and other agricultural events in Brazil
Collaborate with United States (US) Commercial/Marketing team to ensure proper sales material is developed and distributed
Provide insights on local market needs, regulatory considerations, and emerging trends, while monitoring competitive products to inform and align product development strategies
This individual will report to our Head of Product.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate core competencies in the following areas:
In-depth knowledge of technical agronomic concepts, Brazilian cropping systems, soil nutrition, and fertilization programs
Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English
Effective public speaker with an ability to present technical agronomic concepts and trial data
Ability to exercise ethical, prudent judgment and problem-solving in the absence of direct supervision
Ability to communicate, collaborate, and build strong working relationships with others
Ability to work independently, learn new skills quickly, and take initiative
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and assume personal ownership of market development activities and outcomes
Conducts all business activities honestly and responsibly to build trust with customers, partners, and colleagues
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
10+ years of experience in agronomy, fertilizer sales, and/or key account management in the agriculture industry in the Brazilian market
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related field from an accredited university or college
DESIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (THESE ARE A PLUS!)
Previous experience working for a United States-based agriculture company preferred
Master’s degree in an agronomic field or Crop Advisor Certification is a plus
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive as needed.
Ability to travel to multiple work locations, including international travel, as needed
Willing to travel 50 to 75% of the year
Background checks will be performed; results must be satisfactory to the company
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions, i.e., heat, humidity, rain, cold, etc. for extended periods of time
Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces
Must be able to lift 50 to 60 pounds as needed
