Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) helps brands and strategic partners develop sustainably with Amazon. AVS assists Amazon partners in growing sustainably, increasing product availability, and discoverability. The Supply Chain Specialists team focuses on operational challenges, helping partners optimize logistics, analyze supply chain issues, and develop sustainable solutions to prevent financial losses and enhance customer experience.
In this role, you will report to the category operations management leader and will be responsible for developing the supply chain strategy for key accounts. You will oversee inventory forecasting, procurement execution, and operational project improvements, acting as a key contact for inventory management within a supplier segment. You will identify opportunities to simplify and automate tasks, ensuring that inventory systems and processes meet business needs and implementing controls accordingly. The ideal candidate will have the energy to handle an environment where tactical and strategic activities occur simultaneously.
You will manage high-complexity suppliers independently, delivering services and leading medium to high-impact projects across various product categories, implementing scalable process improvements for Amazon’s retail operations.
Key job responsibilities
1. Analyze supply chain operations using data to identify causes of operational issues (inventory turnover, lead time, re-stocking, confirmation rate, forecast);
2. Define joint action plans with partners to eliminate supply chain defects and conduct regular progress reviews to create sustainable long-term results;
3. Build trust-based relationships across functions and levels within partner organizations (e.g., key account managers, supply chain managers, customer service managers) and within Amazon (Vendor Managers, Account Managers, InStock Managers, Product/Program Managers, Operations Teams);
4. Prepare regular progress reviews to implement sustainable solutions and achieve long-term results;
5. Organize and manage projects with suppliers focusing on continuous improvement/Kaizens;
6. Develop internal projects to enhance the AVS program (e.g., resource planning, internal/external communication, mechanisms for solving supplier issues, automation of reports).
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related fields in operations/supply chain/logistics;
* Strong analytical skills, affinity with numbers, and problem-solving ability;
* High level of self-organization, prioritization, and time management;
* Solid experience in product/category management, commercial planning, logistics, supply chain, and/or procurement;
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English;
* Experience managing senior audiences and influencing people.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with SQL;
* Experience with data dashboards (QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, QlikSense);
* Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen;
* People management experience;
* Experience with financial/qualitative analysis.
