We are seeking a highly motivated Propulsion System Network Engineer to be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and overall management of propulsion system communication files (CAN, LDF).
This role will be critical in supporting root cause analysis, problem resolution, and the administration of our Propulsion Networking Process.
The key responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining propulsion system communication files (CAN, LDF) in accordance with project requirements.
* Supporting root cause analysis and problem resolution related to propulsion network communication.
* Administering and improving the Propulsion Networking Process.
* Managing document releases, ensuring alignment with project milestones.
* Ensuring conformity and quality in file generation processes.
* Collaborating closely with engineering counterparts, including Chief Engineers, COE Leads, and System Engineers.
* Working with the Simulation team to integrate network data into simulation environments.
* Interface and coordinating with Electrical Engineering (EE) Networking teams across all regions regarding production and prototype CAN/LIN file development.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university.
* Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience with Controller Area Network (CAN)/LIN communication systems development and standards.
* Experience with Propulsion System communication architectures and controllers.
* Working experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Notepad ++ and PowerPoint.
* Highly motivated/self-starter with proven leadership skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
* Trained in the Agile Methodology.
* Strong verbal/written communication skills.
* Good understanding of CAN/LIN interfaces.
Technical Tool Skills:
* MATLAB/SIMULINK/STATEFLOW.
* Vector CANalyzer, CANoe.
* IBM Rational DOORS.
* Decent knowledge of CAN/LIN.
