Job Title: Podcast Producer
This is a full-time, remote position for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage the full production workflow of our weekly interview podcast.
The ideal candidate will be able to communicate professionally, manage multiple moving pieces, and maintain a calm, supportive tone consistent with our brand standards.
Responsibilities
* Manage all communication with guests from initial outreach to post-episode follow-up, ensuring clear and timely communication throughout the process.
* Schedule interviews, send confirmations/reminders, and provide prep materials to guests in advance.
* Collect bios, headshots, books, links, and required release forms from guests prior to recording.
* Draft guest outreach emails and pitch new guests aligned with upcoming content themes, showcasing creativity and initiative.
* Maintain guest pipeline, schedules, and assets in Notion/Google Drive, utilizing digital tools to streamline workflows.
Episode Planning & Production
* Prepare episode briefs and host prep sheets, outlining key points and discussion topics.
* Attend live recordings (optional but preferred) to track timestamps and notes, ensuring accurate representation of the conversation.
* Review raw audio/video and provide clear, detailed edit notes to the editor, focusing on clarity and narrative flow.
* Restructure episodes when needed for clarity, flow, and narrative arc, collaborating with the editorial team.
* Collaborate on episode titles, angles, hooks, and story direction, working closely with hosts and editors.
* Choose main promotional clips and quotes for social content, selecting engaging and relevant material.
Editioining Coordination
* Send the editor cut notes that are clear, accurate, and time-stamped, providing a clear guide for editing.
* Review first edit, request revisions, and ensure quality before publishing, maintaining high standards.
* Ensure the final episode reflects brand voice, pacing, clarity, and guest experience, upholding quality standards.
Publishing & Show Management
* Write compelling show notes, descriptions, summaries, and timestamps, highlighting key points and takeaways.
* Prepare publishing assets (titles, tags, categories, episode artwork if needed), optimizing for discoverability.
* Upload weekly episodes to our hosting platform (Spotify for Podcasters or similar), ensuring timely publication.
* Track episode performance metrics and maintain publishing calendar, analyzing data to inform future decisions.
Marketing & Promotion Support
* Coordinate with the social media team to deliver clips, quotes, and captions, enhancing engagement and reach.
* Identify promotional opportunities through guests' audiences, leveraging partnerships and collaborations.
* Support the creation of audiograms, reels, and short-form content briefs, adapting to evolving content strategies.
Monetization & Growth
* Assist in creating sponsorship decks and packages, promoting revenue growth through strategic partnerships.
* Research relevant brand partners to pitch, identifying alignment with our values and audience.
* Coordinate guest cross-promotion to increase downloads, fostering relationships with influencers and thought leaders.
* Track growth trends and propose strategies to expand reach, driving continuous improvement.
A successful Podcast Producer will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills. They will be self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently as part of a remote team.
