Application Support Engineer

Location: Sao Paulo, Brazil

Type: Full-time (On-site)

Summary

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about learning and working to resolve day to day technical issues. You must have strong communication skills as you will be working with many different teams front to back across both the business and technical organizations. You will be working with developers to debug issues and find root causes so some experience with coding is required. You will make impact by resolving issues efficiently, managing incidents, identifying recurring issues and coming up with recommendations on where to make investments to bring down support costs. Lastly, you will help train new users and developers by creating clear and concise documentation for applications and processes.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain a proactive approach throughout the day, with the ability to analyze, debug, and resolve issues.
* Develop and enhance the SRE strategy to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the plant.
* Efficiently escalate issues to the development team, raise incidents, manage impact, and communicate with users and stakeholders.
* Automate manual processes to improve efficiency.
* Escalate issues to management on both support and development sides, raise problem tickets, and collaborate with development teams to address issues and drive transformations.
* Possess a solid understanding of technical concepts and be capable of writing code when necessary.
* Create documentation, runbooks, and code snippets to resolve issues and share them with the team.

Required Skills and Experience:

* Level L2, L3 Application Support experience, preferably in the 2-10 years range.
* Technical Skills: Unix/Linux, any object-oriented programming experience (Java, Python), with a good understanding of databases.
* Proficient in coding and debugging.
* Strong communication skills
* This role requires 5 days working onsite
