Quality Platform Engineer (Remote – Brazil, CLT) QAT Global, a US-based IT consulting firm with 30+ years of experience, is looking for a Quality Platform Engineer to support a US-based customer. You will collaborate with development teams across the US, Costa Rica, and Brazil, building and operating the infrastructure that powers automated testing. About the Role We are looking for a Quality Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the platform that executes automated testing at scale. While Quality Engineers focus on writing tests, this role ensures those tests run reliably, efficiently, and consistently across environments. You will work closely with QA, Engineering, and DevOps teams, owning the infrastructure and systems that power automated test execution. This role also supports automation frameworks using Playwright and performance testing using JMeter. Responsibilities: Design and maintain containerized environments used for automated testing Build and operate scalable test execution platforms supporting parallel and isolated test runs Ensure consistent behavior across local, CI, and pre-release environments Design and maintain GitHub Actions workflows for automated testing in the SDLC Integrate automated testing into the release and deployment process Support automation frameworks using Playwright and performance testing using JMeter Improve reliability, performance, and observability of automated test pipelines Build systems for test result aggregation, artifacts, and failure analysis Identify and reduce test flakiness and pipeline instability Enable Quality Engineers through clear execution interfaces and documentation Required Experience: Strong experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions preferred) Hands-on experience with Docker or container-based execution environments Experience supporting automated test execution platforms or CI runners Experience supporting automation frameworks such as Playwright Experience supporting performance testing execution (JMeter preferred) Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Bash, or similar ) Solid understanding of modern software architectures and automated testing strategies Experience with parallel test execution, test sharding, or ephemeral environments Experience analyzing failures in CI pipelines or automated test runs Comfortable working across QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams Strong English communication skills Preferred Qualifications: BS/MS in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Computer Engineering, or related field
