Job Summary
The role of a Service Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of injection molding machinery. This position demands a skilled professional who can troubleshoot complex issues, provide maintenance recommendations, and offer technical training to customers.
About the Job:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical manufacturing, electric engineering, automation, or plastic material, or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years of service work or technical support experience in the injection molding machine industry or related industry is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in regular training sessions to enhance technical skills and comprehensive service ability.
* Conduct thorough inspections of machines to identify potential problems and suggest improvements.
* Assist colleagues in completing on-site inventory of spare parts warehouse and perform equipment safety checks.
* Install, repair, and maintain Injection Molding Machinery, linear robots, hopper dryers, auto-load systems, chillers, and related software and control systems.
* Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for machine failures and performance issues.
* Document findings and actions, and order replacement parts as required.
* Respond promptly to customer problems via phone or onsite in a professional manner.
* Provide maintenance and operation recommendations or on-site services to customers.
* Prepare written reports on all service calls, documenting key contacts and machine workload.
* Offer after-sales service and technical training to customers and agents, including equipment safety, operation, maintenance, plastic raw materials, and molding process training.
* Translate service files into local languages if necessary.
Requirements:
* Educational Background: College or bachelor degree; Major in mechanical manufacturing, electric engineering, automation or plastic material or equal; Other education background with more than 3 years' experience in injection molding machine design, after-sales service or maintenance.
* Background: 2 years of service work or technical support experience in the injection molding machine industry or related industry.
* Abilities: Proficient in English communication; Ability to drive a car; Extensive knowledge in trouble shooting and repairing of injection molding machines covering controls, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems; Proficient in computer usage, email systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Ability to understand mechanical drawings, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
