Position: Warehouse Technician (Driving)

Responsibilities

Process orders, prepare items for shipment, and receive incoming inventory.
Clean and disinfect returned equipment, maintain cleaning room, stock and stage inventory, and maintain inventory records.
Assist supervisor/manager in pulling and loading equipment for delivery and assemble equipment when necessary.
Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all activities.
Deliver equipment to patients and/or facilities when required.
Perform data entry, update shipping information, and track orders.
Complete clerical tasks (faxing, scanning, filing, general phone calls).
Prepare shipping containers, create labels, and verify contents against invoices or bills of lading.
Receive shipments, process packing slips or invoices, and store items securely.
Document returned items and clean equipment following Maintenance Guidelines.
Follow PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
Keep warehouse clean and organized per SOP; manage waste disposal daily.
Assist with stocking, tracking, and replenishment of inventory; communicate stock shortages to the warehouse manager.
Monitor expiration dates and re-inventory per company guidelines.
Deliver equipment as requested and follow driving policy; complete required driver training.
Educate customers on proper use and care of respiratory and home medical equipment in home settings.
Complete patient visit reports after setup and follow-up visits as required.
Assist with customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
Process all orders timely and accurately; perform patient assessments as needed.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and simple repairs on equipment per policy.
Report equipment hazards and product incidents per policy; participate in on-call rotations as required.
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
Complete compliance training and participate in the AdaptHealth Compliance Program.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

Equipment repair or maintenance skills.
Problem-solving with attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; independent decision making.
Ability to clean, test, and repair home medical equipment.
Identify safety hazards and take necessary precautions.
Accurately receive, stock, retrieve, and load equipment and supplies.
Work cooperatively with others; effective verbal and written communication with customers, maintaining empathy and respect for privacy.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be able to lift up to 85 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds frequently, and up to 160 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stretch, bend, stoop, crouch and perform moderate to heavy physical labor when moving equipment and supplies.
Subject to long periods of sitting and driving; work environment may be stressful with fluctuating activity.
Possible exposure to unsanitary conditions in some home settings and to hazardous materials, noise, extreme temperatures, and infectious agents.
Must be able to drive independently and travel as needed; may encounter high crime areas or difficult customers.
Must access patient residences without assistance and communicate effectively with customers.

Requirements
Minimum Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalency.
Related experience in construction, general manual labor, military, equipment repair, or maintenance.
Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence.
Senior level requires two (2) years of work-related experience and one (1) year of exact job experience.
