Job Title: Advanced Server Operations Manager
Are you a seasoned IT professional seeking a challenging role that demands technical expertise and problem-solving skills? Look no further. We are currently looking for an experienced Server Operations Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing server operations, with a strong focus on Linux and Unix systems. A deep understanding of cloud operations, combined with excellent communication skills, is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Participate in major incident handling, troubleshooting service request failures, downtime extensions, and long-running ongoing incidents
* Provide Level 3 support to customers, taking proactive steps to avoid escalations and drive initiatives to improve operation and stability
* Drive standardization and simplification of server operations, identifying areas for improvement through root cause analysis
* Analyze root causes of failures, define corrective action plans, and implement mitigation steps to ensure optimal system performance
* Collaborate with various teams, coordinating work and ensuring smooth operation of complex systems
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Expert-level knowledge of Linux OS/Windows and infrastructure customer issues
* Strong administration experience in cloud platforms based on Linux operating systems (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and SAP data centers
* Pacemaker administration knowledge and practical experience with OS operation, upgrades, and security patching
* Networking experience with TCP/IP, IP routing, NAT, firewalls, DNS, LDAP, proxies, and good understanding of IT security and OS hardening
* Experience with script programming (Shell, Perl, Python, Go) and server automation tools (Ansible, Chef)
* 8+ years of related professional experience and Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technologies Management
* Excellent analytical and solution-oriented thinking, very good communication skills, and experience safeguarding customer relationships
