Role Summary:
Operate harvesting machines, Harvester or Forwarder, safely, reaching and surpassing the goal of productivity and operational efficiency planned, within the quality standards indicated by the company following the microplanning, accompanying and supporting the mechanic.

In this role that you are about to embark on, you are required to carry out the following responsibilities:
- Operate forestry harvesting machines for logging, debarking, log cutting, Harvester and / or timber removal from the field and stacking of the logs in the path indicated in micro-planning (Forwader) following all procedures and area standards..
- Perform the Check List of the equipment, with visual inspection and test the commands at the beginning of each shift, requesting the presence of the mechanic to meet the nonconformities.
- Operate the harvesting machine (Harvester and / or Forwarder), using the available controls, being aware of the electronic, hydraulic and mechanical signals of the machine, aiming the perfect operation of the equipment.
- To pass on to the immediate manager or to the employee who will replace him or her on the shift or to the mechanic, any type of irregularity or signal that compromises the operation of the machine, aiming at the perfect harmony between operation and maintenance, preserving the operation and the zeal for the equipment.
- Inform the operating conditions for the operator of the next shift or write in the Logbook if there is no operator on the next turn.
Write down all important information about the equipment and operation in the Logbook.
- Participate in the safety dialogs (DDS) and perform the Auto Elongation exercises during the operation.
Ensure the organization and internal and external cleaning of the equipment.
- Provide support to the mechanics in the maintenance of the machine that is operating, aiming at the ready restoration of the machine for operation.
To guide the other collaborators in the zeal with the equipment, disseminating the culture of preservation.
- Ensure compliance with the quality parameters indicated by the company for the cutting (stump height, log length, alignment and beam header, debarking of logs) and bucket (pillow construction, respecting length, height, header and stack alignment, do not leave loose bark, non-fibrous material, fallen wood on the road and out of the pile and wood with length beyond that allowed in the batteries).
- Ensure a harvesting pattern that enables post-cut / bucket sprout management.
- Attempt for machine operation indicators in the equipment monitoring panel (oil level, temperature, etc.).
Always be aware of equipment calibrations (Harvester: roller pressure, knives, length sensor.
Forwarder: crane calibration, ramp) in order to avoid falling productivity and quality in the equipment.
- Make notes on the events of the shift in the Komatsu MaxiXplorer system, ensuring the reliability of the information at the start of the shift by choosing your own registration and the correct starting point for the start of the operation, indicating the reasons for stopping whenever requested by the system, turn on the program screen every end of the shift, saving the information at the end of the turn.
- Know and comply with the Quality, Safety, Occupational Health and Environment policies determined by the company, ensuring that the requirements and standards of the area correspond to the system adopted by the company.
**Requirements**:
To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- A basic school certificate.
- Relevant working exposure or experience in a similar role.
- Willing to relocate to the job location.
