Patent Project Coordinator

As a key member of our team, you will oversee and manage patent filing requests, working closely with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery, scope adherence, and excellence. Your role involves coordinating various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance.
This is a full-time, remote position, operating in Pacific Standard Time (United States time zone). Our ideal candidate can commit to standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm PST.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required as you will be collaborating with English-speaking teammates and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing all documents necessary for EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Proactively initiating responses to official communications and notifications.
* Coordinating filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications, along with related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
* Monitoring assigned cases and ensuring timely meeting of related deadlines.
Essential Skills and Required Experience:
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in either a law firm or corporate setting.
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities.
* Significant experience managing complex projects.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Successful track record of successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and various Machine Translation engines.
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* Skilled at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows.
* Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
