About the Role
The Social Media Lead will oversee SportyNet’s entire social media ecosystem, driving strategy, content, engagement, and brand presence across all digital platforms. This leader will be responsible for shaping SportyNet’s voice online, managing creative and editorial teams, and ensuring that our digital output amplifies the channel’s storytelling, audience growth, and commercial opportunities. The role involves close collaboration with content, editorial, marketing, graphic design, and broadcast teams to deliver impactful and cohesive digital experiences.
What You’ll Be Doing

Digital Strategy & Brand Positioning: Define and implement SportyNet’s social media strategy across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, and others)
Establish and evolve the channel’s voice, tone, and content guidelines for digital communication
Monitor market trends, platform updates, and audience behavior to continuously optimize digital strategy
Develop growth strategies focused on engagement, reach, retention, and community building

Content Leadership & Editorial Direction

Oversee the planning, creation, and execution of daily and special digital content
Supervise editorial calendars, creative concepts, copywriting, and visual identity across platforms
Guide production of videos, clips, highlights, memes, graphics, and real-time sports coverage
Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s editorial strategy and enhances the channel’s programming and storytelling

Live & Real-Time Coverage

Lead digital coverage of live sports events, breaking news, show moments, and cultural conversations
Coordinate rapid content creation workflows for real-time posts during matches, broadcasts, and key moments
Work closely with broadcast and editorial teams to amplify on-air content across digital channels

Data Intelligence & Performance Optimization

Analyze performance metrics, audience insights, and platform analytics to guide strategic decisions
Develop KPI frameworks for growth, engagement, conversion, and content efficiency
Produce performance reports and translate data into actionable recommendations for continuous improvement
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Lead a multidisciplinary team of social media specialists, editors, video creators, community managers, and analysts
Foster a collaborative, fast-paced, and innovation-driven team culture
Work alongside marketing, editorial, programming, and graphic design departments on integrated campaigns
Coordinate with commercial teams to support branded content and sponsorship activations

Community Management & Engagement

Oversee audience interaction, moderation, and community-building initiatives
Develop strategies to strengthen audience loyalty and deepen relationships with fans and followers
Ensure timely responses, proactive monitoring, and brand consistency in all community touchpoints

Partnerships, Platforms & Innovation

Manage relationships with social media platforms and content partners
Explore new formats, emerging platforms, and creative opportunities to expand SportyNet’s digital footprint
Lead experiments with trends, technologies, and interactive storytelling formats

What You’ll Bring

Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, or related fields
Solid professional experience leading social media strategy and teams, ideally within sports, media, or entertainment
Proven track record in growing digital audiences, producing creative content, and managing real-time coverage
Experience working with digital analytics tools (Meta Insights, YouTube Studio, TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.)
Expertise in social media platforms, content formats, and algorithmic behaviors
Ability to brief, evaluate, and direct creative content (videos, graphics, copy)
Familiarity with video editing tools, mobile editing apps, and publishing platforms
Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate insights into strategic actions
Intermediate to advanced English for interacting with global platforms, partners, and trends
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage creative teams in fast-paced environments
Excellent communication, storytelling, and editorial judgment
High adaptability and ability to make quick decisions during live or high-pressure situations
Creativity, curiosity, and passion for sports and digital culture
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Able to work from our office in São Paulo city 3 days per week
