Overview We’re looking for an Experienced Paid Social Video Editor to join our Growth team to create high volume performance-driven video creative across paid media channels. This is not a cinematic or brand-only editing role. This role is for someone who deeply understands direct-response advertising, short-form performance creative, and how editing decisions directly impact hook rate, retention, CPA, and scale. You’ll work closely with Growth, Creative Strategy, and Media teams to turn UGC, raw footage, and concepts into scroll-stopping, high-converting ads across multiple platforms. If you’ve edited ads that have scaled spend — not just looked good — you’ll feel right at home. What You’ll Be Editing Paid ads for Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, TikTok Shop, Snapchat, YouTube, AppLovin, and other performance channels Short-form video ads (typically 5–60 seconds ) UGC, founder-led content, creator content, product demos, testimonials, hooks, and offer-driven ads High-velocity iterations and variations based on performance feedback (hooks, pacing, captions, CTAs) Responsibilities Edit high-volume, high-quality short-form videos for paid social Create multiple iterations of the same concept (different hooks, pacing, captions, CTAs) Optimize videos for retention, thumb-stop rate, CTR, and conversion Add captions, on-screen text, callouts, sound effects, and light motion graphics Adapt creatives quickly based on performance data and creative feedback Collaborate closely with Growth and Creative Strategy teams Maintain fast turnaround times without sacrificing quality or performance What We’re Looking For Proven experience editing ads for DTC / e-commerce CPG brands Deep understanding of paid social performance creative Strong familiarity with what actually works on Meta & TikTok Ability to edit for speed, clarity, persuasion, and conversion (not just aesthetics) Experience working with UGC and raw, imperfect footage Excellent instincts for hooks, pacing, storytelling, and visual hierarchy Comfortable with rapid feedback, iteration, and performance-driven improvements Portfolio of direct-response ads you’ve personally edited (required) Tools & Skills Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects is a plus) Strong captioning and on-screen text design skills Clear understanding of vertical video formats ( 9:16 primarily ) Organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and fast Nice to Have (Big Plus) Experience supporting high-spend paid media accounts Familiarity with creative testing frameworks Experience within Shopify / DTC ecosystems Ads you’ve edited that have scaled meaningfully across platforms What Success Looks Like Ads you edit consistently perform and scale Fast iteration cycles without quality drop-off Strong collaboration with Growth & Creative teams Creative output that directly impacts revenue How to Apply A portfolio or links to examples of paid social ads you’ve personally edited Brief context on the brands and channels you’ve worked on Confirmation that you’re available full-time NOTE: This is a full-time role only.
