Schedule: Swing Shift on a 2-2-3 rotation
Job Description
The Truck Driver will be required to inspect the truck for defects before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition. The ability to work with others to be productive is essential to the success of this position, the company, and all team members. All team members in the organization are to treat each other with respect and professionalism.
* Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
* Follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
* Read, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math.
* Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment.
* Have working knowledge of Watco Safety and Operating principles.
* Inspect truck for defects before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition.
* Assist workers in loading and unloading trucks.
* Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
* Read and accurately interpret company documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and federal and state regulations.
* Communicate professionally and effectively.
* Respond promptly to any accident, incident, or emergency call.
* Operate, maintain, and repair vehicles.
* Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance.
* Help, mentor, and train personnel.
* Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Work outside majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions.
* Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
* Work well with a team, take directions, follow work rules, and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
* Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
Job Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Good driving record
* Must be 18 years or older
* One or more years of related experience
Physical Demands
* Must be able to see well enough to do paperwork and operate heavy equipment.
* Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and others.
* Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and squat as needed.
* Must be able to use hands to grasp, handle, and feel.
* Must be able to climb and balance to mount equipment.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
* Regularly exposed to high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, machinery, weather conditions, fumes, and occasionally toxic chemicals.
