The business spun out from Brevan Howard Asset Management (one of the world's leading absolute return / hedge fund managers) in 2018, and Brevan Howard remains a key client.The Infrastructure (desktop) Engineering team is primarily responsible for maintaining and engineering the firm's global desktop and VDI environment, along with various on-premise and cloud-based end user services.Responsibilities :Software Packaging & rollout, with support documentation & knowledge transferDevelopment, configuration, & support of on-premise and cloud-based end user services (e.g., Microsoft 365)Including application, endpoint, and mobile device managementProviding escalated support & troubleshooting of VMWare Horizon VDI environmentActive Directory & Entra ID configuration, maintenance & administrationProviding 3rd line support for the desktop environment, applications, and hardwareManaging vulnerability & software updates for Microsoft & 3rd-party applications, OS, & hardwareMonitoring & maintaining file transfer services for internal & external clientsProactive performance & reliability analysis for continuous improvement of the desktop environmentCollaborating with internal & external customers/vendors to obtain information regarding applications for packaging, problem-solving, or escalationMandatory Skills :Experience with software packaging using MECM / IntuneStrong knowledge of LinuxPowerShell scripting skillsAdvanced VDI administration & troubleshootingAdvanced Active Directory administration, including GPO and IntuneUnderstanding of control principles such as Release & Change ManagementExperience working with ITIL best practicesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 2016 / 365Understanding of build and client distribution architectures (MECM)Nice-to-Have Skills :VMWare HorizonOther scripting languagesSupport of Configuration ManagerLanguages :
