Job Overview
The IT Release Manager II will plan, coordinate, and schedule software releases in alignment with organizational strategy and goals. This role works closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality and timeliness of releases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, coordinate, communicate, schedule, and facilitate software releases to meet business objectives.
* Collaborate with development, QA, operations, and change management teams to ensure readiness and quality.
* Monitor and communicate release progress, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed.
* Facilitate release meetings and maintain release calendars.
* Review testing outcomes and work with QA to address defects and improvement opportunities.
* Develop and maintain release documentation, including release notes and rollback plans.
* Produce reports and metrics on release performance and communicate findings to leadership.
* Ensure compliance with InComm's release management policies and best practices.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives for release processes.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
* 4+ years of experience in release coordination, change management, or related IT governance roles.
* Familiarity with SDLC processes and testing practices.
* Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar for tracking and documentation.
