Growth Marketer In Global Running Company - Part-Time With Room To Grow Into Head Of Marketing
Hi… My name is Lena, and I am the founder of Go! Running Tours. This is not your usual job post. Instead of writing a fast‑paced, bullet‑pointed post with the words driven, team player, high performer, etc., I thought I would give it a go at simply writing the good, the bad, and the ugly about being a Growth Marketer with Go! Running Tours.
Our new Growth Marketer will be responsible for all our marketing activities for B2C and B2B clients. Our current markets are growing (some by 100+%) and we are constantly looking for new channels and markets to sell our services. Your marketing DNA has to be of the rare kind that is analytical and structured, while also having the creativity to craft great copy, see new opportunities, and connect the dots between B2C and B2B. I am looking for a colleague who works systematically with new ideas and markets, has attention to detail, and gets super excited about the responsibility you are given and the fact that the world is your marketing playground.
We are lucky that sometimes amazing opportunities land in our turban. You’ll be working on a newsletter and a digital advertising effort that includes planning and running campaigns on Meta and Google, exploring new platforms, and keeping an eye on what actually moves the needle. Email marketing is a strong channel of ours, and if you get a thrill from optimising flows, building smart automations, and digging into data, then this is your playground. You will also own our digital advertising efforts, create clever case studies, explore sponsorship opportunities, and pitch bold ideas that help us reach new runners, new companies, and new destinations.
We work remotely and have only 2–3 hours of internal meetings a week. All other time is reserved for deep work and basically getting things done. The salary is USD 1,400 a month for 25 hours a week, managed via Upwork. I don’t believe in my colleagues working 60+ hours a week, and it simply doesn’t align with our company values. We want you to have the energy, focus, and headspace to do great work and enjoy life outside of it.
The most important traits to bring to the role are being a fast mover, a super collaborator, and having a drive to grow – both the business and yourself. But the most important skill of all is execution. If we don’t execute, we can’t move the needle.
