Cloud Architect Role Overview
The role of a Cloud Architect is crucial in designing and executing IT cloud solutions. This position requires expertise in cloud services, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and experience in provisioning GCP resources using Terraform.
Mandatory Qualifications:
* A minimum of 13 years of IT experience and 7 years of architecture experience in designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions in GCP.
* Google Cloud Professional Certification is mandatory.
* Experience with provisioning GCP resources via Terraform is essential.
* Strong expertise in GCP services such as Cloud Services Platform, Google Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, Google Cloud Load Balancing, Storage, Security, Monitoring, etc.
* Knowledge of Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Key Management, Access Controls, Security Protocols, Network Routing, Firewalls, ACLs, cloud IaaS components on GCP.
* Solid foundation in programming languages like Java, SQL, Python or Node.js.
* Expertise with containerization, orchestration tools like Kubernetes, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
* Automate provisioning of networks and access (Organization, Routes/Firewalls, IAM, Policy).
