Job Description:
The role of a Translations Quality Assurance Specialist involves ensuring the accuracy and quality of translated legal documents. Collaborating with the Project Management team, conducting quality checks, communicating with vendors, and implementing process improvements are key aspects of this position.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Project Management team to clarify project parameters
* Perform quality checks on translations, focusing on grammatical correctness and cultural relevance
* Communicate effectively with vendors worldwide to resolve errors in translated text
* Develop and implement process improvements using available technology solutions
Requirements
* Experience in reviewing and proofreading translated documents, particularly legal documents, with attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficiency in Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools is highly desirable
* A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Experience with Adobe Acrobat or similar software is necessary for document management and editing
* A focused, detail-oriented, and client-centric mindset, with excellent communication skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
* Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work well in both independent and collaborative settings
* Ability to adapt to fast-paced work environments and excel under pressure
