Purpose
As Project Procurement Lead, you oversee procurement and supply chain activities for specific packages within projects, ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and high‑quality delivery of equipment and materials. This role involves managing supplier relationships, coordinating with engineering and project teams, and negotiating contracts to meet project specifications and budget requirements.
The Project Procurement Lead is responsible for tracking the supply chain schedule, mitigating risks, and implementing strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
Responsibilities
You develop the Procurement Strategy in accordance with lessons learned and input from Category Managers.
You set up the Tendering strategy for the Purchase Request in collaboration with Buyer and Category Manager.
You lead commercial and contractual negotiations with the appropriate support.
You manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration, address issues proactively, and drive performance improvements.
You manage the interface with the vendor during Purchase Order execution, ensuring vendor activities align with project priorities.
You provide continuous feedback on vendor performance to Category Managers and secure support for PO execution issues.
You report progress to the Project Procurement Manager throughout the project lifecycle and monitor PO execution, raising alerts and action plans for potential schedule, cost, quality, or contract issues.
You drive continuous improvement initiatives in the supply‑chain process to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support long‑term objectives.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
Proven track record in managing supply chain packages for complex projects, including offshore, onshore, or subsea equipment.
Strong background in contract management and negotiation, especially high‑value contracts with technical specifications.
Experience with ERP systems and supply‑chain software to track procurement processes and schedules.
Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements in oil and gas procurement and supply‑chain operations.
Demonstrated project‑management skills, coordinating cross‑functional teams and meeting deadlines under pressure.
