Job Title: Data Architect
The Role:
* We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing scalable data processing systems, with a focus on AWS serverless architectures.
* Responsibilities include designing and implementing an AWS Serverless DataLake architecture, developing data ingestion pipelines, implementing data transformation and enrichment processes using AWS Lambda or similar technologies, and collaborating with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements.
* The successful candidate will also be responsible for optimizing data storage and retrieval mechanisms, monitoring and troubleshooting the DataLake infrastructure, and continuously evaluating new AWS services and technologies to enhance the DataLake architecture.
* Mentorship and technical guidance of junior data engineers is also expected.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS technologies and serverless architectures;
* In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Redshift, and DynamoDB;
* Proven expertise in designing and implementing AWS serverless architectures for large-scale data processing and storage;
* Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Scala, along with experience using SQL for data manipulation and querying;
* Hands-on experience with data integration and ETL tools, such as AWS Glue or Apache Spark;
* English fluency is required;
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment;
