Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Brand Strategy & Stewardship:
Develop and execute the end-to-end brand strategy for Daraz in Sri Lanka, ensuring it resonates with local culture, trends, and consumer behavior.
Be the guardian of brand consistency across all touchpoints – from digital assets to physical events and packaging.
Conduct local market research, consumer sentiment analysis, and competitor benchmarking to inform brand strategy and positioning.
Lead the creative development of high-impact, thumb-stopping branding campaigns, from big idea conception to execution.
2. Offline & Experiential Marketing:
Architect and manage 360° offline marketing campaigns, including flagship events, shopping festivals, trade partnerships, and PR initiatives.
Build and nurture relationships with local media, vendors, and strategic partners to amplify Daraz's presence beyond the digital realm.
Identify and capitalize on hyper-local opportunities for brand building and customer acquisition across the island.
Track, measure, and report on the ROI of offline marketing activities.
3. Social Media & Community Engagement:
Own the social media strategy for Daraz LK, defining the content roadmap and engagement model across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Lead and be a part of the social team to create engagement-first, platform-specific content that drives conversation and community growth.

Utilize social listening and analytics tools to derive insights and continuously optimize campaign performance.
4. Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead the campaign communication strategy for all Daraz ventures, facilitating brainstorming sessions to generate market-relevant ideas.
Foster a high-performing environment by setting clear OKRs, providing mentorship, and encouraging a test-and-learn culture.
Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Operations, CX) to ensure brand campaigns are integrated and support overall business objectives.
Collaborate with the Online Marketing team to ensure a unified customer journey from offline to online.
Spearhead partnerships with leading Sri Lankan KOLs, influencers, and celebrities to extend brand reach and credibility.
5. Budget Management:
Own and strategically allocate the brand marketing budget for Sri Lanka, ensuring efficient spending and maximum impact.
Maintain rigorous financial oversight, ensuring all campaigns are delivered on budget and their performance is rigorously evaluated.
Position Requirement
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
6+ years of experience in brand management, marketing, or advertising, with a proven track record of building brands in Sri Lanka.
Demonstrated experience in leading integrated marketing campaigns with significant offline and social media components.
Previous experience in e-commerce, FMCG, telecom, or a top-tier agency is highly advantageous.
