Required: Ensino médio completo, curso técnico de enfermagem;
Desired: Especialização ou vivência em hemodiálise.
Responsibilities and Duties
Hemodialysis Room
Verify machine readiness: patient name on capillary, venous and arterial connections, materials.
Clean system with saline, puncture patient via dual catheter, insert anticoagulant medications, prepare machine per prescription, program time, ultrafiltration, blood pump speed, and other parameters.
Document evolution data in room log and monitor patient's physical status hourly, including blood pressure measurement.
Assist supervisor and physicians with any required tasks.
Prepare disinfection of wheelchairs, benches, equipment, and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
Collect urgent labs, ECG and CME, and verify equipment operation.
Execute final hemodialysis care: return blood to patient, perform local dressing, weigh and measure blood pressure, prepare for patient release.
Administer erythropoietin and other medications as prescribed.
Remove completed machine setup, properly store, and prepare for reprocessing.
Track and restock consumables, ensuring availability of solutions and kits per patient schedule.
Perform equipment checks, cleaning, and logging of infusion solutions before use.
Reusable Equipment (Reuso)
Wash and prime capillaries, lines, and accessories; connect all tubing to machines.
Clean sponges and benches; perform daily pressure check in reprocessing area.
Prepare and store solutions, materials, and kits for reuse, ensuring proper labeling and expiration tracking.
Record and sign reprocessing logs; maintain cleanliness of material carts and storage areas.
Assist in cleaning of machines, benches, and carts at the start and end of each shift, including terminal cleaning.
CTI (Intensive Care) Duties
Perform hemodialysis in CTI, manage portable ultrafiltration unit, and organize necessary kits.
Verify prescribers, collect patient signatures, document in room log, and ensure equipment safety.
Communicate to physicians and nursing staff any device malfunctions or patient issues.
General Duties
Assist nurses and physicians during urgent procedures and PCR events.
Transport patients to and from various departments (e.g., surgical block, wards, CTI) as required.
Report missing or out-of-date equipment and reagents, and maintain inventory.
Maintain environmental and safety controls, complying with internal and legal regulations.
Support organizational improvement initiatives, including quality tools and process maps.
