Financial Controls & Governance (Primary Responsibility – LK)• Lead end-to-end balance sheet governance for Sri Lanka with monthly deep dives, reconciliations, and closure of open items.• Strengthen invoice management processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely posting.• Oversee adherence to the internal controls framework and identify risks, gaps, and remediation plans.• Ensure compliance with group policies, audit requirements, and internal control standards.B. Tax & Regulatory Compliance Oversight(Execution by Tax team; oversight and follow-up by this role)• Track all tax notices, assessments, and compliance risks; coordinate with Shared Services & Tax team to resolve issues proactively.• Ensure operational teams understand and adhere to local tax compliance frameworks.C. Expense, OPEX & Cost Management• Take ownership of expense tracking, variance analysis, and monthly OPEX governance.• Partner with Operations, Admin, and Commercial teams to drive cost optimization initiatives, particularly in logistics and supply chain.• Validate spend requests, vendor contracts, and ensure P2P discipline.D. Cross-Functional Finance Business Partnering• Act as the day-to-day finance counterpart for Sri Lanka's functional leaders (Ops, Commercial, Admin, HR) on issues related to spend, process discipline, and deviations.• Institutionalize structured review mechanisms (weekly/monthly) to ensure accountability and timely issue resolution.• Support the Country Finance Lead in enabling Sri Lanka's Local Marketplace growth initiatives through financial analysis and insights.E. Support for Nepal (15–20% allocation)• Assist in monthly balance sheet governance for critical accounts.• Support risk identification, invoice discipline, and compliance checks aligned with group standards.• Ensure replication of best practices between Sri Lanka and Nepal.F. Forecasting, Reporting & Performance Tracking• Support monthly rolling forecast, variance analysis, and performance bridge for both EBITA and working capital.• Ensure timely visibility on risks and opportunities to Country Finance Lead.Position Requirement• CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified preferred; MBA in Finance acceptable.• 5 years of experience in controllership, finance operations, or FP&A roles (experience in e-commerce or FMCG is a plus).• Strong understanding of balance sheet controls, tax basics, P2P governance, OPEX management.• Ability to partner and challenge cross-functional stakeholders.• Excellent analytical skills with strong Excel/Power BI proficiency.• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
