A fast-growing US fintech SaaS company is looking for an Engineering Team Lead based in Brazil to help drive the development of a market-leading platform used within the alternative investments space.
Following multiple years of rapid growth, the business is continuing to scale its engineering function and is looking for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys mentoring teams, improving engineering practices, and delivering high-quality software in a collaborative environment.
Their platform digitises complex onboarding, transaction, and reporting workflows for investment firms and service providers, helping reduce operational friction and improve efficiency across the investment lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and supporting a small team of engineers across key product initiatives
- Providing mentorship, coaching, and technical guidance to developers
- Driving best practices across software development, delivery, and collaboration
- Remaining hands-on with development across backend and frontend systems
- Designing and building scalable backend APIs using Ruby on Rails
- Developing modern frontend applications with React.Js
- Working closely with Product and Engineering stakeholders to solve user problems
- Supporting continuous improvement across architecture, processes, and team performance
What They’re Looking For:
- Strong commercial software engineering experience
- Previous experience leading or managing small engineering teams
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and supporting engineer development
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and React.Js
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on leadership role
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Passion for building scalable products and high-performing teams
