The Role
As a Senior Studio Specialist at JoVE, you will drive the operational excellence of our in-house creative studio. You will execute and oversee project execution, optimize workflows, and introduce AI-powered solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability.
This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who understands the full creative production lifecycle and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment - a love for science is a plus!
Responsibilities:
* Oversee and coordinate the execution of creative projects from brief to final delivery
* Maintain the studio production schedule and assign projects to the in-house motion graphics team based on availability, timelines, and project scope.
* Track the day-to-day progress of projects in the pipeline, follow up on deadlines, flag delays, and ensure workload distribution supports on-time delivery.
* Define and track KPIs, deadlines, and performance metrics to ensure smooth production cycles
* Work closely with the Director of Marketing to translate business objectives into actionable creative plans
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine briefs and propose effective design solutions
* Create and edit high-quality video assets to support marketing campaigns, product launches, digital initiatives, and brand awareness efforts.
* Design, document, and continuously improve studio workflows and cross-functional processes
* Ensure brand consistency and creative quality standards across all deliverables
* Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable improvements to increase efficiency
* Lead the integration of AI technologies into creative workflows, including automation, asset generation, project tracking, and quality optimization
Requirements:
* 5–7 years of experience in creative production, studio coordination, or motion graphics environments
* Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent creative projects while ensuring quality and on-time delivery
* Strong experience supporting and improving production workflows within creative teams
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate designers and balance workloads effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana (or similar platforms)
* Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools to improve production efficiency and creative output
* Strong attention to detail and quality control across all stages of the creative process
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
* Solid understanding of the end-to-end creative production lifecycle (briefing, design, review, revisions, final delivery)
