Job Description
The Oncology Marketing Operations Director will lead the oncology marketing team in the formulation and execution of marketing strategies for current indications and future product launches within the oncology portfolio. This position is responsible for ensuring that these strategies are fully integrated into the overarching brand strategy. The Director will also oversee the development of marketing tools that facilitate strategic decisions aimed at achieving market leadership in a competitive landscape. Additionally, this role involves direct management of a team of Brand Managers.
This role reports directly to the Oncology Business Unit Director.
Key Responsibilities:
• Commercialization Planning: Collaborate with Brand Managers to develop comprehensive commercialization plans for each indication, including the articulation of the scientific narrative for assigned indications.
• Strategic Alignment: Ensure alignment across various franchises by understanding the Pan Tumor approach and incorporating an omnichannel strategy.
• Customer-Centric Strategy Development: Utilize a customer-focused approach to devise strategies and solutions that create market value, ensuring stakeholder engagement throughout the process.
• Financial Management: Oversee forecasting, resource allocation, expense management, performance monitoring, and P&L management to meet financial objectives.
• Presentation Preparation: Organize and prepare presentations that convey information clearly and concisely.
• Market Analysis: Analyze market data and anticipate trends to inform business decisions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with local and regional cross-functional partners, including market access, policy, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, legal, and sales teams, to navigate the internal and external ecosystem successfully.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, customers, and scientific leaders.
• Team Leadership: Lead the oncology marketing team, ensuring effective execution and professional development of team members.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Team Development: Inspire, motivate, and guide team members to achieve exceptional performance, fostering a high-performing and collaborative oncology and hematology organization.
• Leadership Contribution: Actively participate in the Oncology Leadership Team to meet budget targets and contribute to strategic discussions.
• Strategy Communication: Clearly articulate the local oncology strategy and financial targets, ensuring adherence to all company policies.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with customers and key external stakeholders to advance the objectives of Oncology Business Unit.
• Market Insight: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the oncology business to identify growth opportunities and innovations.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in marketing and/or management and leadership. A strong background in pharmaceutical sales, particularly in oncology, is essential, along with an understanding of access scenarios in both private and public markets, as well as commercial strategies for hospitals and clinics. The candidate should demonstrate excellent influencing skills and a balance of strategic and commercial acumen to effectively lead and address a variety of marketing and business development challenges. A results-driven and energetic personality is crucial, with a focus on identifying opportunities and solving problems to achieve objectives.

• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a business-related or pharmaceutical discipline.
