Saucon Valley Country Club (SVCC) is a picturesque private club retreat offering a myriad of exceptional recreational and social experiences with three 18-hole championship golf courses. We host a variety of events throughout the year and we need dedicated culinarians to ensure our members and guests have a delicious and memorable meal.

Position Overview

SVCC is searching for Banquet and Production Cooks to join our exceptional culinary team. Led by Executive Chef Tim Rios, we are looking for motivated individuals who have experience in a high-volume kitchen.

Job Duties

* Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
* Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces).
* Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
* Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
* Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
* Stock inventory appropriately.
* Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
* Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
* Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and membership.

Requirements

* Proven cooking experience in high-volume kitchen.
* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
* Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
* Familiar with industry’s best practices.
* Culinary school training is a plus.

The American Culinary Federation (ACF) has been the premier certifying body for cooks and chefs in America for over 45 years. Culinarians achieve certification based on education, experience, and successful completion of written and practical exams. The ACF’s certification program is recognized industry-wide as a standard for excellence in professional skills and knowledge.
