We are seeking a talented and motivated CAE Structural Analysis Engineer to join our Screening team. In this role, you will lead the development of advanced structural and dynamic simulations for screens, feeders, and related components, utilizing Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Your expertise will ensure strict adherence to technical specifications and industry standards while driving improvements in overall equipment performance.

You will be joining the Global Mining Screens team, focused on Research, Technology, and Development (RTD). Our team is currently driving several global projects and works in close collaboration with the broader Metso organization as well as leading mining companies worldwide. Our team members are primarily based in Brazil, France, Germany, India, China, and Australia.
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and diagnostics to identify solutions for screens, feeders, and related components.
Perform stress and modal analyses, recommending design modifications to enhance performance and mitigate potential field issues.
Prepare detailed warranty claim reports with clear technical findings and recommendations.
Supervise work teams when required, managing resources during service execution to meet deadline.
Plan human and material resources, creating activity schedules, work procedures, and requesting necessary support from relevant areas.
Generate service reports within established timelines.
Provide training sessions for internal staff and customers to enhance technical knowledge and operational efficiency.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, reporting insights and recommendations to the supervisor.
Submit weekly work distribution reports (man-hour reports) to your direct supervisor.
Ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental standards in accordance with internal documentation, legal requirements, and organizational guidelines. Adhere to procedures related to accreditation, certification, and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Participate in project planning and execution, coordinating effectively with stakeholders across SCB and other business areas.
Attend conferences and deliver presentations as appropriate; strong presentation and communication skills are highly desirable.
Ensure full compliance with industry standards and internal quality procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineer with FEA background or related fields.
Experience in designing mineral process equipment or plants, especially screens.
Solid background in structural calculations and mechanics of materials.
Ansys software experience is desirable.
Knowledge of hydraulics, metrology, lubrication, industrial safety, mechanics, and measurement instruments is considered an asset.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, coupled with effective communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with colleagues across global teams.
Fluency in English is essential for international collaboration.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office for preparing and presenting detailed reports.
Preferred knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to the mining industry.
Familiarity with FAT Class and International Institute of Welding (IIW) guidelines is desirable.
Experience interpreting welding definitions and symbols is desirable.
