Job Title: Cloud Application Support Specialist
Description:
This is a fully remote position working East Coast hours. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of related production support experience, preferably in the securities or financial services industry.
Responsibilities and Key Deliverables:
* Participate in architectural discussions to evaluate proposed solutions and their applicability.
* Support and implement solutions, ensuring successful introduction across the organization and with clients.
* Perform technical analysis and prepare recommendations as needed.
* Liaise with business units, IT departments, and outside vendors to ensure client satisfaction.
* Collaborate with operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.
* Oversee key operational controls to ensure ongoing operating effectiveness.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
* Advanced proficiency in DevOps, Agile, & Lean is a plus.
* Business knowledge of Securities, Fund Accounting, Collateral, and Tri-Party Repo preferred but not required.
* Experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud, Virtual, MQ, Database, Network, ITIL, Service Management preferred.
Skill Set:
* Programming/Scripting skills in Java, Python, C++, Django, etc.
* Experience in various App/Networking Monitoring Tools (Splunk, Appdynamics, Prometheus, etc).
* Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with global teams.
Day-to-Day Activities:
The Sr. Application Support individual will liaise between IT and business stakeholders to support complex application needs. They will provide technical direction and guidance for various application and infrastructure activities supporting business applications, processes, and procedures across the enterprise.
