Job Title: Cloud Operations Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Specialist to lead our cloud infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing scalable cloud-based solutions, as well as managing complex cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure for data lake components using Terraform and other automation tools.
* Implement Automation and Scripting: Develop and implement automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Bash to support data engineering teams.
* Manage Cloud Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with governance, audit requirements, and data protection mandates by implementing security controls such as RBAC, managed identities, secrets management, and encryption.
* Optimize Workload Performance: Analyze and optimize workload performance and cost within the cloud environment.
* Maintain and Optimize Cloud Environment: Maintain and optimize agents, service connections, and deployment runtimes, eliminating configuration drift through standardized templates and environment baselines.
* Develop Observability and Monitoring: Build observability: logging, metrics, alerting, dashboards for pipelines and platform components.
Requirements:
* Strong Knowledge of Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and automation tools such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, IaC governance patterns, and scripting languages.
* Familiarity with Cloud Security and Compliance: Understanding of security controls such as RBAC, managed identities, secrets management, and encryption.
* Ability to Lead Cloud Operations: Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
