We are hiring a Public Cloud Project Manager. This role focuses on customer relationship management and advocacy for Canonical's technical assets. It offers an opportunity for a technologist passionate about Linux and Project Management to grow their career. Ideal candidates will have a software affinity, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology, working alongside industry-leading professionals.
Public Cloud Project Managers lead accounts and provide insight for Canonical's key Tier 1 Enterprise Public Cloud clients, collaborating with teams from Software Engineering to senior executives.
Responsibilities include managing multiple projects simultaneously, shaping Statements of Work (SoW), overseeing project lifecycles, and ensuring goals are met. International travel may be required, with varying duration and frequency.
Location: This role is remote within the Americas region.
The role entails:
1. Ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, budget, and resources.
2. Identifying and mitigating technical and project risks.
3. Maintaining strong customer focus and stakeholder engagement.
4. Conducting regular status meetings and business reviews.
5. Managing third-party deliverables and cross-organizational requests.
6. Advocating for Canonical's technologies to customers.
Qualifications include proven experience in IT Cloud project management, Linux and open source knowledge, software engineering background, excellent communication skills in English, experience managing remote and cross-cultural teams, negotiation skills, a STEM degree, PMP and Scrum Master certifications, and willingness to travel.
