Senior IT Service Management Consultant
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development and enhancement of our IT Service Management platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing, developing, and implementing complex IT service management solutions including Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Discovery, and Service Mapping.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, often requiring collaboration with various teams and stakeholders. They must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as experience working with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
* Design, develop, and implement complex IT service management solutions.
* Experience with configuring and customizing ServiceNow applications and modules.
* Lead development of integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
* Evaluate best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
* Provide solutions that utilize most out-of-the-box features without requiring customizations.
* Facilitate the reuse of code, components, and proven patterns; Influence common modeling, design, and coding practices.
* Perform upgrade testing by validating customizations, configurations, and integrations across major and minor releases.
* Develop and maintain Automated Test Framework (ATF) test suites to validate core functionalities, ensuring stability and reducing manual regression efforts.
* Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues.
* Maintain documentation for development and configuration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
* 5-7 years of experience in IT service management with a focus on ITOM.
* Strong knowledge of CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Integrations.
* Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Glide API, REST/SOAP integrations, and scripting.
* Experience with automation and DevOps practices, familiarity with continuous integration (CI/CD), code versioning tools such as Git, and Agile principles.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Able to establish strong relationships internally and externally.
* Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Experience with AI, Virtual Agent, Robot Process Automation (RPA).
