IT Support Specialist Job Description
This is a role that requires the provision of remote computer and IT system support to employees.
The ideal candidate will be someone who possesses excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. They must be process-oriented, efficient, both individually and as part of a larger team, knowledgeable about various technologies, and adaptable to address diverse technical issues.
In order to excel in this position, you will need to analyze issues and formulate solutions. You must also troubleshoot system, application, and hardware issues, ensure customers are updated on ticket progress, and work remotely with customers to solve problems.
1. Analyze issues and formulate effective solutions
2. Troubleshoot system, application, and hardware problems
3. Ensure timely communication with customers regarding ticket status
4. Collaborate with customers remotely to resolve technical issues
5. Utilize internal knowledge bases to find and provide solutions to known issues
6. Conduct research and resolve issues using external information when necessary
7. Maintain accurate records of ticket status and fixes
8. Properly escalate complex issues to relevant teams when required
Requirements for the position include:
* An associate's degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
* Knowledge delivering IT solutions within a corporate environment
* Experience working in mixed Mac and Windows environments
* Desirable: Experience in advertising and/or marketing industries, managed computer environments, and supporting audio/visual systems
