About the role
As our Finance Ops and Control Associate, you’re hands-on and detail-oriented — this is an IC role, not a managerial position, ideal for someone who loves digging into data and driving operational excellence. You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance & Capital Markets to ensure financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and cost control across our fast-growing business. You’ll bring structure to our financial operations while helping automate, track, and analyze everything from expenses to compliance.
Qualifications
* Fluent in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal.
* 2-5 years experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or cost control roles.
* Process-driven with experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
* Analytical thinking with experience in cost management, expense tracking, and variance analysis.
* Knowledge of Brazilian tax laws, GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulatory requirements.
* Tech-savvy & automation-oriented with experience in SQL, BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI), or Python.
* Expertise in ERP systems, and accounting software.
* Previous experience in high-growth credit or financial services companies is a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
* Own day-to-day financial control and reporting
* Track costs and improve expense efficiency
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Ensure internal financial and tax compliance
* Build dashboards and tools to track key KPIs (cash burn, cost-to-revenue, etc.)
* Automate financial workflows and improve data quality
* Collaborate across Finance, Ops & Capital Markets to drive financial strategy.
