This individual will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of power electronics, wire management, and electrical interconnect systems that seamlessly integrate with Nextracker's solar tracker platforms.The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of electrical systems and product development, strong cross-functional leadership, and a data-driven approach to product decisions. This role is both strategic and hands-on, bridging engineering, manufacturing, and customer success functions.Here is a glimpse of what you'll do…Define and drive controls and firmware roadmap for inverter/power conversion products.Translate system-level requirements into detailed firmware/control specificationsEnsure compliance with grid standards and regional regulations.Own requirements for communication protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, WebUI, GPS clock) and predictive analytics readiness.Support lab and field validation of control features, performance testing, and firmware release cycles.Collaborate with customers and field teams to capture feedback and improve strategies.Define KPIs for inverter control performance (efficiency, trip times, system uptime)Translate field performance data into insights to iterate and improve product designs.Partner with internal stakeholders across tracker, power electronics, and digital solutions teams to deliver cohesive system offerings.Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on go-to-market strategies, value proposition articulation, and technical collateral.Support supplier qualification and manufacturing transitions as needed to scale production.Here is some of what you'll need…Degree in Electrical Engineering with focus in Electrical Engineering5+ years of experience with PV system design and applications.Good understanding of controls and electronics.Knowledge of UL & NEC compliance requirementsWillingness to travel (
