The Learning Support Teacher will serve all students who require support services, including those with special education needs and those identified as gifted and talented. This position supports both remediation and extension, working closely with the Learning Support Coordinator, the counseling team, and the section principals to ensure learning and social/emotional needs are met. The Learning Support Teacher reports to the Learning Support Coordinator, in their absence, to the Director of Learning & Teaching.
Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Special Education preferred)
Fluent in English with fluency in Portuguese
Postgraduate degree in special education or specialized educational services
Recent and continual professional learning in this area, along with relationship-building
Recent experience, at least two (2) years, working in a school
Working Hours: Full Time (40 hours)
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:50 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 7:50 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
