DESCRIPTION
The Risk Manager (Latin America), reporting to the head of International Threat Evaluation and Risk Assessment (TERA) and part of the broader International Security & Loss Prevention (S&LP) team, will primarily be responsible for identifying, assessing, and proactively reporting on daily risks to Amazon people, operations, and assets in Latin America (specifically Brazil and Mexico). The Risk Manager will own stakeholder management in the region, and work to improve team processes and performance metrics.
Key job responsibilities
- Set monitoring agenda for LATAM region, based on knowledge of Amazon supply chain
- Leverage various information open sources and data sets
- Identify and analyze risks, proactively reporting to security and operational stakeholders
- Develop and track performance metrics related to analysis accuracy and ROI
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
- Experience in OSINT research, security, and risk management
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese
- Strong written and verbal communication.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Strong familiarity with various technology platforms, such as geospatial tools; news aggregators; and data scrapers.
- Personal network of threat, risk management or other industry/professional contacts to assist with event insight and impact analysis.
