You are a hands-on senior engineer who enjoys owning complex systems end-to-end. You are passionate about building scalable, production-grade applications in the cloud and want to contribute to architectural decisions while mentoring others and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment.You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus onNode.js and Type Script.
Proven experience building full-stack applications usingReact and Type Script. Experience with modern React state management patterns.
Solid experience designing and operatingREST and/or Graph QL APIs.
Hands-on experience withAWS serverless servicessuch as Lambda, API Gateway, Dynamo DB, and S3.
Strong knowledge ofevent-driven architecturesin production environments.
Strong experience withDynamo DBin production environments, including single-table design, partition/sort key strategies, TTL, and cost-efficient scaling.
Experience supportinghybrid architectures, including coexistence with legacy SQL-based systems.
Hands-on experience provisioning infrastructure using AWS CDK or other Ia C tools (Cloud Formation, Terraform)
Experience building and maintainingCI/CD pipelines(preferably Git Hub Actions).
Solid understanding oflogging, monitoring, and observabilityusing Cloud Watch or similar tools.
Strong frontend skills withstate management patternssuch as React Query, Redux, or Zustand.
Advanced English proficiency and ability to collaborate effectively in distributed teams.You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Type Script.
Develop and operate high-performance REST and Graph QL APIs.
Implement and evolve event-driven architectures using AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, and API Gateway.
Model and optimize data access patterns in Dynamo DB, ensuring performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Support system evolution by enabling hybrid architectures during migrations from legacy platforms to serverless solutions.
Provision and manage infrastructure using AWS CDK and cloud-native best practices.
Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines covering linting, testing, building, deployments, and environment management.
Ensure production readiness through proper logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability.
Build and maintain frontend applications using React and Type Script, applying clean component architecture and performance optimizations.
Collaborate closely with product, backend, and frontend teams to deliver cohesive full-stack solutions.
Participate in architectural discussions, perform code reviews, and promote best engineering practices.Qualifications
