**The Opportunity**
Provides leadership for legal entity accounting (Statutory and US GAAP) and taxes (Federal and State VAT, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing and Harmonized Tariff Codes).
**What you will do**:
- Ensure the thorough, accurate and timely closing process and reports for the organization, including the management of the closing activities related to Legal Entity Accounting and Tax Fillings (monthly, quarterly and annually) (BR & US GAAP).
- Analyze and interpret financial information for planning and control purposes.
- Management of contracts, including external audit and tax consultants.
- Lead strategic initiatives related to accounting and tax processes aligned with corporate governance.
- Support the implementation of new accounting standards as well as the accounting risk assessment and action plans.
- Work with Legal and Global Tax teams on tax risk assessment and tax plannings.
- Oversee and evaluate the activities of the finance staff and providing guidance for their professional development.

**Organizational Governance**:Knowledge of the processes, customs, policies, and rules affecting the way the organization is administered and controlled; ability to ensure compliance with governance guidelines and policies.
**Leadership**:Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
**Basic requirements**:
- University degree (Accounting with an active CRC)
- Accounting and tax experience related to Brazilian GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS
- Pre Advanced English
- 8-10 years of experience in Accounting Processes, including technical accounting and reporting issues
- Managerial and leadership experience
- External audit experience (Big Four)
- International certification (CMA or CPA)
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific action.
