Job Description:
The IT Support Specialist is a key role in ensuring the seamless operation and continuous improvement of our technology services. This individual will support and manage various aspects of our IT operations, including application and operating system support, network management, server administration, vendor management, and project implementation.
This role demands strong technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential technology challenges. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
They will also be responsible for software support, including installing, configuring, and troubleshooting operating systems, applications, and software updates. Additionally, they will provide network support, troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues, configure network devices, and ensure network performance.
The IT Support Specialist will work closely with various stakeholders, including our BT team members, vendors, and business users, to ensure alignment and successful outcomes. They will have a deep understanding of ITIL framework and best practices, as well as strong technical competencies, including hardware expertise, networking fundamentals, operating system proficiency, software troubleshooting, cybersecurity awareness, and mobile device management.
We are looking for an experienced professional who can lead and manage IT projects, collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, and minimize system downtime while maintaining secure and productive technology services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
* 2+ years of proven experience in an IT support role, demonstrating a strong understanding of IT operations, infrastructure management, and service delivery
* Proven ability to lead and manage IT projects
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Expertise and contributions directly impact on the efficiency and reliability of our technology systems and services
