Job Title: Patent Paralegal Project Coordinator
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Patent Paralegal Project Coordinator to oversee and manage patent filing requests. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
The role involves coordinating various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance. This is a full-time remote position working in Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone.
Main Responsibilities
* Preparation of all documents required for EP, PCT, and foreign applications;
* Initiation of responses to official communications and notifications;
* Coordination of filings for EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant;
* Monitoring assigned cases and ensuring timely completion of related deadlines.
Requirements and Qualifications
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting;
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications;
* Strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities;
* Significant experience managing complex projects;
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
* Successful track record of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows;
* Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and various Machine Translation engines;
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance;
* Skilled at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows;
* Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
