Job Summary:
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced MES Consultant to join their lean development team of four. This role is to backfill a team member recently promoted internally, ensuring continuity in ongoing projects and maintenance of existing manufacturing execution systems.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain and support existing MES applications built using C# (Windows Forms) on the .NET Framework 4.8.
* Work on enhancements and bug fixes within legacy codebases, ensuring high standards of quality and maintainability.
* Develop and optimize T-SQL stored procedures, functions, and other database components in MS SQL Server.
* Create, update, and maintain operational and business reports using SSRS.
* Collaborate with a small, agile team to deliver improvements, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical solutions across MES systems.
* Apply version control best practices using Git, including branching, pull requests, and source code versioning.
* Work closely with both English-speaking and international team members, communicating technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Experience:
* Proficiency in C# (Windows Forms), .NET Framework 4.8, and Visual Studio (v2019)
* Experience with MS SQL Server and T-SQL (functions, stored procedures)
* Familiarity with SSRS for report development and maintenance
* Understanding of Git concepts, including branching and source code versioning
* Experience debugging and maintaining legacy code
* Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Preferred Skills:
* Exposure to Manufacturing IT systems like Wonderware MES and System Platform;
Wonderware Historian;
Intouch HMI
* Strong attention to detail, organizational and collaboration skills in English and with others whose first language is not American English
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in multinational environments where English is a second language for many team members.
* Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a lean team setup.
