Role DescriptionJob Title:Electrical Maintenance TechnicianWork location:Power plant site / factory / new energy project site (photovoltaic, wind power, energy storage, grid facilities, etc.)department:Operations and Maintenance Department / Equipment Maintenance Department / Engineering DepartmentReporting to:Electrical Engineer / Equipment Supervisor / Operations ManagerPosition Summary:Electrical maintenance technicians are responsible for the daily inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment to ensure the safe, stable, and efficient operation of electrical systems.This position is a key technical support force for the operation of power plant and factory equipment, requiring familiarity with the structure, operating principles, and safe operating procedures of high and low voltage electrical equipment, as well as the ability to promptly handle equipment anomalies and implement preventative maintenance plans.Key Responsibilities:Routine inspection of electrical equipmentConduct routine inspections of electrical equipment, including transformers, switch cabinets, distribution cabinets, inverters, motors, relays, etc.Record operating parameters to determine if the equipment is operating normally.Any potential hazards or abnormalities should be reported and addressed promptly.Electrical equipment maintenance and upkeepImplement preventative maintenance (PM) plans, which include operations such as tightening, cleaning, lubrication, and testing.Regularly calibrate protection devices, switches, and control systems.Assist in completing equipment overhaul, technical upgrade and renovation projects.Fault Diagnosis and RepairTo conduct fault analysis, troubleshooting and repair of equipment.Handle electrical faults such as equipment tripping, short circuits, overloads, and leakage.Use tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and oscilloscopes for testing.Electrical safety managementStrictly implement the safety operating procedures for high-voltage and low-voltage electrical equipment.Follow the standard procedure for power outage and restoration (LOTO).Participate in emergency response and accident investigation.Technical Records and ReportsMaintenance equipment ledgers, repair records, inspection reports, and other documents.Update equipment status promptly and report technical issues.Working with other teamsAssist engineers in technical diagnosis, technology upgrades, and commissioning of new equipment.Collaborate with mechanical, instrumentation, and maintenance teams to ensure overall equipment performance.Job Qualifications:Educational requirementsAssociate degree or above, majoring in electrical engineering, power, electromechanical, automation or related fields.Work experienceTwo years or more of electrical maintenance experience (power stations, power plants, industrial manufacturing, and new energy industries preferred).
