Project Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced delivery professional to own the end-to-end execution of complex projects in our agile engineering environment.
This role involves translating business priorities into actionable plans, driving clarity across teams, and ensuring delivery quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Owning Delivery Execution: End-to-end management of complex projects from planning through execution and completion.
* Bulked Delivery Plans: Creation and management of delivery plans, including scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and resource coordination.
* Closely Partnering with Engineering Teams: Collaboration with engineering teams to manage work intake, backlog grooming, prioritization, and task tracking (Jira).
* Serving as Primary Stakeholder Point of Contact: Providing clear updates and driving alignment across teams.
* Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identifying and mitigating risks, resolving blockers, and adjusting plans as priorities evolve.
* Deliverables Facilitation: Facilitating working sessions, stand-ups, planning meetings, and stakeholder workshops as needed.
* Delivery Insights Support: Supporting prioritization decisions by providing delivery insights, trade-offs, and impact analysis.
* Process Improvement: Continuously improving delivery processes, tools, and ways of working to increase efficiency and predictability.
* Progress Tracking and Reporting: Tracking and reporting on delivery progress using appropriate metrics and tools.
Requirements:
Experience
5+ years of experience leading delivery for complex projects or initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
* Avoidance of Agile Environments: Strong experience working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar).
* Jira Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience using Jira for backlog management and delivery tracking.
* Effective Communication: Proven ability to work effectively with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
* Basic SQL Skills: Basic SQL skills and familiarity with finance or accounting concepts are a plus, but not required.
