**Our client is a life sciences company specializing in disease diagnostics, drug discovery and precision medicine via proteomics via blood samples.**
**Responsibilities**:
- Analyze code requirements and assigned scripts, program reusable, scalable, tested and efficient software scripts.
- Adhere to software development standards, do integration testing and correct bugs found in code evaluations or tests.
- Improve existing programs by analyzing requirements and user suggestions, creating and implementing solutions to existing bugs.
- Collaborate with other engineers and teams to brainstorm on solution design and architectures.
- Operate compliant systems in test and production environments, comply with release requirements in GitLab or other similar technologies.
- Carry out maintenance on existing systems, monitoring and correcting any detected defects, as well as developing code in specialized languages for new programs.
**Requirements**:
- 4+ years of Java development experience
- Good experience in frontend development using Javascript, React/Vue
- Strong knowledge of OOP/OOD
- Good notion of RESTful services
- Strong knowledge of Java 8, Spring (Spring Boot, Web, Data, Security)
- Hands-on experience with RDBMS and ORM (Hibernate)
- Experience with AWS
- Understanding of Microservices approaches and practices
- DB's: Oracle DB / SQL knowledge
