The role of a podcast audio editor is to take raw podcast audio and transform it into polished, broadcast-ready episodes. This involves editing out filler words, false starts, redundancies, and off-topic tangents, while improving the pacing, clarity, and flow without changing the speaker's voice or intent.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in editing long-form podcasts (interview or narrative style)
* Strong editorial judgment with the ability to make informed decisions about what to cut and why
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
* Comfortable working with physician and expert-level conversations
* Fast, reliable turnaround times
* Clear, professional communication
* Familiarity with tools like Descript, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic, or similar

1. Proficiency in Audio Editing, including cleaning, trimming, and fine-tuning audio files
